The MGC-25 can contain several cards, as listed in Table 8-4:

When double-clicking the Cards icon in the Browser pane, the Status

pane displays the status of each card:

Card Function

NET2 Network Interfaces between the MGC unit and the ISDN or

T1 CAS network.

IP Network Interfaces between the MGC unit and the LAN

network.

MUX+ Multiplexes and demultiplexes audio and data

information, performs channel aggregation and video

processing in Video Switching conferences.

AUDIO7 Performs audio compression, decompression, bridging

and DTMF tones.

VIDEO6 Optional, depending on configuration. Performs video

compression and decompression. Must be used for

Transcoding, Continuous Presence and COP

conferences.
